Pick a class, book it, turn up in whatever you can move in. That is genuinely the whole process. By the second chorus you will wonder what you were nervous about.

Before your first class

First, the reassurance: you do not need to be fit, coordinated or brave to come. Zero fitness is required, every move has a gentler option, and nobody is watching you because they are far too busy surviving the chorus. A few things I do genuinely want you to know first:

Pregnancy

Dance-fit can be brilliant in pregnancy, but check with your midwife or GP first, and tell me before class starts. There is a low-impact option for every single move and I will show you all of them.

Injuries and joint pain

Tell me before class about anything that hurts, aches or clicks. Everything can be modified, jumps included, and modifying is completely normal here, never a walk of shame.

Heart conditions and dizziness

If you have a heart condition, or you get chest pain or serious dizziness during exercise, have a chat with your GP before your first class. And if you ever feel dizzy mid-class, stop, breathe, get water. Nobody will bat an eyelid.
