Privacy policy

A starting point, not legal advice. This page was drafted as a sensible baseline for a small class business. Have it reviewed against your own circumstances before relying on it.

What this website collects

As little as possible, on purpose.

  • The contact form collects your name, your email address and whatever you choose to write, nothing more. Messages are delivered by Formspree and arrive in my inbox.
  • Booking a class happens through Cal.com, which asks for your name, email and chosen class under its own privacy policy.
  • Analytics. This site uses Plausible, a privacy-first service that counts visits without cookies and without identifying you. No advertising trackers, ever.

Health information

The booking form doesn't ask for health information, and please don't put any in the contact form either. Anything you tell me in person or by message about an injury, pregnancy or a health condition is used for one thing only: keeping your class safe and comfortable. It's kept in confidence, noted minimally, and never shared or used for marketing.

Photos and video

Class photos and video happen occasionally, and only ever with consent asked for on the day, in person, before anything is filmed. Not fancying it is always fine and never awkward, and it will never affect your welcome. If you change your mind about an image you appear in, email me and it comes down.

How long I keep website messages

Enquiry emails are kept while we're in conversation and deleted within 12 months if you don't end up joining a class.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask me what personal data I hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for corrections, or ask for it to be deleted. Email me and I'll respond within a month. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
